The Pride in Arts Festival is a weekend celebrating artistic expression and the enduring contributions of queer creatives.
Experience captivating classical concerts, exclusive private art collections, and a specially curated film series at the Tivoli Cinema–including Andy Warhol: The American Dream and lively sing-along screenings. From cabaret and solo drag performances to interactive creative workshops there is something for everyone. Explore a vibrant pop-up marketshowcasing the work of creatives and artists.
The festival’s signature event will be a spectacular ball in the Cambridge Town Hall. This Wasn't the Plan: A Musical Theatre Cabaret
Please take your seats in this cabaret classroom as lecturer, Glenn Horsfall, takes you through the twists and turns of a life imagined versus a reality lived. With beautiful songs and hilarious, heartfelt, often humbling stories, this show looks at what it means when the script of life gets rewritten.
Saturday 25th October
GALA BALL
Black Tie meets Met Gala meets You
Signature event:
The evening will have a dressed saloon style Victorian room, with grand piano featuring some great classics as background music. Food served/curated throughout the evening, 7- 9pm + full grazing tables.
Post the official waltz at 9pm, a covers band entertains the attendees in the main hall, while people can mingle in the quitter Victorian room.

Sunday 26 October
Drag Bingo with Anita Wiglet
Anita Wiglet is a household name in the drag world, following her time on Ru Pauls Drag Race. Her hilarious fun and snazzy bingo night is a must for all. A short drag performance, this is fun for all and full of prizes. https://anitawiglit.co.nz/

MORNING
10:30am – Stitch & Bitch (Tivoli Café) Yarn, coffee, and connection in a relaxed, inclusive space.
Recommended: Self-Guided Visit to Hamilton Gardens A perfect peaceful pause to close out the long weekend.

AFTERNOON

5:30pm – This Wasn’t the Plan: A Musical Theatre Cabaret Glenn Horsfall’s laugh-out-loud, bittersweet show about life’s unexpected turns, featuring live vocals and music.
Evening – Signature Event
7:00pm – Drag Bingo with Anita Wiglet followed by karaoke Prizes, performances, and plenty of sass. (Town Hall – ticketed, PG-13 recommended)
